Wylde IA have had one of our projects shortlisted for the Insider South West Property Awards 2017. We entered our recent project at Alliance Pharma in Chippenham for the Commercial Fit-out or Refurbishment Project of the Year category for the Insider Property Awards in the South West of the UK.
As businesses seek to grow whilst attracting and retaining the best staff, workplace design and environment is becoming ever more important. At the same time, developers and landlords are investing in refurbishing buildings to the highest standards in order to reflect the aspirations of occupiers. The award highlights the importance of building refurbishments or fit-out and interior design in putting the region’s property industry ahead of its competitors.
Wylde Interior Architecture redesigned an existing space for client Alliance Pharma in Chippenham. Alliance Pharma occupy Avon Bridge House – a Grade 2 listed building in the heart of Chippenham. The project involved revamping Alliance Pharma’s existing atrium space to provide a more welcoming reception and creating new office space on the ground floor. Whilst working in close consultation with the client it became apparent as the concept developed, that circulation around the building was restricted which resulted in a fragmented workforce. To remedy this a new café and breakout space was introduced providing a link between the reception and office space. In addition, a new central staircase was introduced linking the ground and first floor. Initial Concept Development started in August 2016 and the newly refurbished space was completed in June 2017.
