We’re having a look back to the Mixology Awards 2013. Wylde Interior Architecture were winners for the Medium/Large Commercial Interior project for our SECO headquarters project in Alcester, which actually went on to win other awards too.
We were appointed to transform them into a state-of-the-art UK headquarters. As lead consultants, Wylde IA designed the interior and external spaces, landscaping and work on the building’s façade. The design includes a new reception (complete with a bespoke staircase designed in partnership with a local artist), a technology & production centre, meeting, exhibition and auditorium suites, open plan office accommodation, café, break out areas and a gymnasium.
This week we’re looking back at the event, written up in Mixology’s Magazine reviewing the awards of 2013;
“It’s quite remarkable. Over the past two years we’ve enjoyed amazing breaks in the late spring weather for Mixology – and then when it comes to Manchester’s Mixology North we’ve been a little less fortunate. But, as December’s extravaganza proved, they’re hardy folks these Northerners – no matter how tough the conditions or the journey…
Before we knew it, we were through a delicious dinner and into the awards. The undoubted major winner on the night was 5plus Architects, who scooped the Public Sector Interiors, Small Commercial Interiors and Design Practice of the Year awards – a first ever Mixology hat-trick…
The evening was also an opportunity to remember our late publisher Henry – whose last ‘public’ industry appearance was at Mixology North 2012, and for our clients and friends to meet with the new look Mix-Interiors team.”
As a small business, doing business on a large scale – we are still very proud to have won this award!
